not how we used to do it

Christmas morning in the Chang household went like this: Mom, Steph and I up well before Daddy, padding around in slippers or bare feet, and bathrobes over flannel PJs. Watch a bit of parade or not, play with the lights on the tree (in later years when we had the multicolored ones that would chase and do patterns and stuff), eat chocolate. Wait for Daddy to get up so we could open presents already. Open presents; throw all the wrapping paper and boxes in a big garbage bag, stack up the haul. They usually gave Steph and I something that matched, like the flannel PJs. Then, lots more chocolate and cookies for breakfast/lunch. And in the evening, after hotpot, whatever movie on TV was the best.
This morning, I woke up early to let the dogs out and immediately went to the computer for the DragCave egg drops (still haven't caught one) and Yuletide stories (my gift friggin rocks, more on that later). I'm planning to work on both of those things all day :)
No one get mauled by a tiger today, okay? :D
