voting for Obama's paying off already

eisoj5I fell asleep last night thinking "President-elect Obama" over and over again. What can I say, I like mantras... :)
So I went and got Ronnie at 11:30 to go vote. There was one person in line ahead of us, but every voting booth had someone in it. The election official who greeted us said that the turnout was really good, way better than for the primaries; another one said that for that, they'd had 130 or so people. 130 or so people had shown up today in the first two hours the polls were open. So yay, people give a damn! :D
Afterwards, we went over to Sonic, where one of the waitstaff saw our Obama sticker and yelled across the parking lot to find out if we'd gone and voted. Later, she came by with condiments and junk, and gave us a huge handful of mints "just because you voted for Obama today".
