Some things

Yesterday I totally saw a(n) UFO.
We were driving to the Emerald City Chinese restaurant for our post-Halloween-party dinner, and I happened to see two lights in the sky that I at first believed were atop the water tower, or streetlights that I was seeing from an odd perspective. However, as we continued down the road towards Huron Parkway, I realized that they weren't connected to the water tower, nor were they streetlights. There they were, just two white shining lights up in the sky, not going anywhere. As I kept watching, it seemed as if there was a smokiness being lit by the two lights, and then they turned off, were replaced briefly by a blue and a red light (akin to those you see on airplanes) before winking out entirely. I kept watching the sky to see if the lights came back on, or moved, or whatever, but they never did.
Sadly, Ronnie can neither confirm nor deny this report, as he was driving at the time.
VOTE
I wholly subscribe to the if-you-don't-vote, you-don't-get-to-complain mentality. (This, of course, doesn't apply to non-Americans or those under 18.) It is incredibly important. So important, even the nearly-dead are making sure to vote. (There was another article I wanted to link but can't find anymore, but this one also notes some serious flaws in the process of dealing with dead voters and their early votes.)
In addition, even if you are challenged, you have the right to cast a provisional ballot. Here is a page with links to states' voter bills of rights if you're curious.
For the Michigan folks:
VOTE NO ON 2
An editorial by Governor Granholm on the subject.
