Doh...(more Sims crap)

The email I got back from EA Games about replacing my second Superstar disk:
>>Although our warranty program does allow the exchange of a defective or damaged disk for a new one, we cannot replace lost or stolen disks. Our warranty program works on an exchange basis only; we trade a disk for a disk (this is partly to cut down on people getting a new and free copy of the game when they already have one). Unfortunately, the only way to replace your disk would be to purchase a new one. I am very sorry about the inconvenience. <<
Crap.
Here's my new idea, tell me if it's doomed to failure. Instead of reinstalling all of them and skipping over Superstar, would it be possible to just transfer over the .far file from the appropriate Expansion Pack folder? This seems like it could work, but I'm afraid that not all the appropriate processes that the game requires would be in that file.
Other theories, Sim-fen?
