hee hee, oops
Nov. 27th, 2008 02:41 pmWhen we came to check out the house on Monday, there was a big skillet sitting in the oven. That seemed kind of odd.
So remember how on Tuesday when we moved, I ordered pizza for mes amis? Well, Tuesday night after everyone was gone, we could only figure out where two of the three pizza boxes were. Kinda weird, right?
Well, today, we were making food to take to Margie's house for Thanksgiving. I was working on my pomegranate-ginger muffins, and Ronnie was slicing butternut squash. I set the oven to preheat and went back to mixing. A few minutes later, there was this faint, odd sizzling sound, and I thought OMG THERE WAS A PAN IN THE OVEN!!
I yanked it open and there wasn't a pan...there was A PIZZA BOX!!! WITH PIZZA STILL IN IT!!
Yeah. That would've been quite bad had it gone on much longer. As it was, Ronnie had some good reheated pizza and the house, instead of smelling like wet dog and Icy Hot, smelled like smoky pizza. :)
Moral of the story: ALWAYS CHECK.
