Happy birthday,
Dec. 13th, 2007 09:13 amSon of a dammit.
Dec. 13th, 2007 01:26 pmLast month, when I was in Denver, my rear left tire got a flat. There were two nails in it, but I got it patched and came home safely.
Yesterday, I got another flat, same tire. Couldn't get it fixed last night, so this morning I took it over, and before I got picked up, they showed me the no longer fixable tire: it had a nail and a screw in it, and the plug from the last time it got fixed had rubbed up against the sidewall. All of that, plus the rim rubbing against the sidewall too=new tire.
So I went to pick it up a little while ago, and on a whim asked how the other three tires were doing. And...all three tires are looking pretty thin. Now, I just paid $50 for one tire to get replaced, so it would've been nice if I could just replace the remaining three, but the one that I now have is no longer being made, so I'm going to have to replace all four tires next week.
Did I mention we're driving to California in two weeks?
Crap. I'm definitely going to have to get the new tires; it's just not safe to drive that far without them. Stupid tires. At least they lasted this long, I guess...
