The morning
Nov. 2nd, 2004 11:25 amI spent three hours over at the Union surveying Asian- and Arab-American voters. This apparently dovetails nicely with telling people which line they're supposed to stand in when there are two precincts at one polling location, because I did that a lot, too. It was pretty interesting to watch everyone and to glance over the surveys. There was at least one Republican challenger there but no hassling really happened. At least not at the Union; there were apparently super long lines over at Markley because of challenges (lots of new voters=prime targets for challenging). I was pretty happy about the number of people we actually got to do the surveys (even though I had some moral qualms about participating in BLATANT RACIAL PROFILING); even the people who said they had to go to class mostly stayed behind to fill one out.
When Ronnie gets back from walking Darwin, we're going to go vote. Hopefully the line won't be too long.
ETA: random thought: Probably one of the biggest reasons I'm voting for Kerry is because he doesn't let his personal faith affect the public decisions he makes.
