Some quotes
Oct. 17th, 2004 12:10 am"September 11, 2001, already a day of immeasurable tragedy, cannot be the day liberty perished in this country."
-Judge Gerald Tjoflat of the 11th Circuit Court in Georgia (I think)
"It's not honest. What you do is not honest. What you do is partisan hackery."
-Jon Stewart, on "Crossfire", regarding newsmedia and specifically the two talking heads on that show
"...Silence equals nonexistence. If I don't give too much information, if I don't go there, it's like I was never there in the first place."
-Margaret Cho, Revolution
I stopped by IMdB to check for that quote from Margaret Cho (didn't find it there, got it at wikiquote) and was dismayed to read that the only comment on Revolution said that she was too preachy--she should stop complaining about being Asian, female, and fat. Yep. That's right--everything's just fine, it's better than it used to be, why complain about it?
Idiot.

I had a lovely evening with
hellosarah and
plummer and the latter's kitties--plus an extra kitty! We made dumplings and apple crisp and watched Margaret Cho be very, very fabulous.
Tomorrow I'm going to have a REAL WEEKEND! ...well, as real as it's been for me lately. I don't have to wake up early and go anywhere tomorrow; I don't have to work or go to class or Spethland. And on Monday...on Monday, we're getting our proofs! Yay!!!
