I feel like disapproving is three steps into how people are, with "steps" or stages being:
1) Being completely oblivious. 2) Recognizing that there are issues. 3) "Disapproving", or seeing those issues as problems. 4) Wanting to do something about the problem(s). 5) Actually doing something. 6) Whatever it is that you're doing actually having an impact.
I feel like most of the people I know and care about (including myself) hover around 3 and 4... and very few people in the world actually manage to make it to 5 and 6.
